No child should feel alone. Windmill Hill Primary are a school of fun, with loving children who all deserve a friend to play with at break or lunch time. However, at times a child may find themselves without a companion and too shy/upset to seek a friend.
The inscription on the friendship bench reads:
At the end of the storm there’s a golden sky.
The new friendship bench is a place for the children to go to and sit on. It allows the other children to notice when a child may be feeling lonely and to include them in to their games or conversations. The bench is helping children to feel happy again and make new friendships. Positive break times can increase children’s positivity and provide them with opportunities to develop creativity and social skills.
