On Thursday 31st January, we had a special visitor at school in the afternoon. Beth Tweddle MBE, Olympic Bronze medallist came to school for a short visit. Twenty of our pupils who attend gymnastics club were selected to meet Beth for a question and answer session. Beth was the first British female gymnast to win a medal at the European Championships, World Championships, and Olympic Games. Over the course of her successful career Beth won an incredible 14 Gold, 8 Silver and 6 Bronze medals at major events. The children chosen were very excited and honoured to meet Beth. It was a great afternoon!
We have had a busy week this week, with lots of visitors coming to our school. Every visitor commented on how polite and friendly the children were and that they are a credit to our school. Well done everyone!
